It first started from the love of horses and the urge to help improve peoples’ lives.

Welcome to Warhorse Liberation, where our mission is two-fold: rescuing and rehabilitating horses facing neglect or abuse, and offering therapeutic equine-assisted services to veterans who have served our nation with courage. Additionally, we grow produce to support our community and homeless veterans.

Our founder, Allison, has firsthand experience with trauma and knows the healing power of horses. They helped her rebuild her life, gain confidence, and pursue her dreams. As a Certified Health and Wellness Coach and a Therapeutic Art Life Coach, Allison is dedicated to helping others overcome their struggles and achieve their goals.

Allison's partner, a Marine Veteran, inspired our focus on veterans' mental health. Understanding the challenges of PTSD, we provide an alternative to traditional therapy through equine-assisted services.

Liberty, a beautiful Standardbred, was a horse Allison bonded deeply with while working to train her as a therapy horse. Although Liberty passed away in August 2022 due to bone cancer, her spirit lives on as the namesake of Warhorse Liberation.
