In the United States, since January 2022, 10,410 horses have been sent to Mexico to be brutally slaughtered (USDA Report). The Paulick Report showed that, “Per USDA Market News data, between 2015 and 2019, 355,821 equines were exported for slaughter from the U.S. to Mexico. Additionally, 92,992 equines were imported to Canada for slaughter between 2015 and 2018, reported AgriFood and Agriculture Canada/StatCan.” It’s reported that approximately 92.3% of American Horses sent to slaughter are healthy and would be able to live out happy healthy lives if given the chance. - The Humane Society of the United States. This is a lack of knowledge issue. We aim to provide more information and resources in, not only caring for a horse, but what do to when you can no longer care for your horse. Additionally we are working to rescue as many horses as we can from this Slaughter pipeline, rehabilitate them, give them specialized training so they can be viable members of your family.
